ALLEGED GUNMAN IN CUSTODY FOR FEBRUARY HOMICIDE

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley and Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis today announced the arrest of a suspect in the Feb. 11 shooting death of 38-year-old Thomas Speed.

GARRETT JACKSON (D.O.B. 7/13/87) of Roxbury was arrested last night following a seven-month investigation by Boston Police homicide detectives and Suffolk prosecutors. Evidence developed in the course of that investigation suggests that Jackson fired a single shot at Speed as Speed stood in the vestibule of 18 Trotter Ct.

Jackson – like CHARLES WILLIAMS (D.O.B. 8/24/79), arrested yesterday evening for the July 4 homicide of 21-year-old David Brimley on Shawmut Avenue – will be arraigned today on a murder charge in Roxbury District Court.
