The Conviction Integrity Program of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office was the first of its kind in the Commonwealth, created to improve upon and continue the critically important task of identifying, correcting, and preventing wrongful convictions.

As the elder population continues to grow, crimes against elders are likely to continue to increase in number and complexity. Suffolk prosecutors recognize the specific issues and concerns that older adults and disabled victims face in addition to the physical, psychological and emotional harm that all victims can suffer.

Suffolk County prosecutors lead the Commonwealth in utilizing the state’s Witness Protection Program to keep victims, witnesses, and their families safe.
