Employment and Internships

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office accepts resumes for employment and internships year-round from those with an interest in prosecution, victim services, criminal justice or other areas of public service that support the mission of the office.

Suffolk County is committed to a diverse workforce and participates in a variety of outreach and recruitment efforts to encourage candidates of all races, ethnicities and backgrounds to consider careers as prosecutors, victim witness advocates, civilian investigators or support staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of resumes we receive each year for Assistant District Attorney positions, there is a general schedule followed for the interviewing of candidates and job offers are tendered only as fiscal conditions permit. Additionally, the office provides opportunities for unpaid internships for law students and undergraduate students interested in legal work, criminal justice, the press office, and other disciplines within the office.
