Alleged Gunman Faces Arraignment in 2014 Homicide

BOSTON, May 5, 2015—The man who allegedly shot Julien Printemps dead last winter has been indicted and faces arraignment tomorrow on a murder charge, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley and Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans announced.

CSEAN SKERRITT (D.O.B. 10/21/88) of North Attleboro is expected to appear tomorrow in the Magistrate’s Session of Suffolk Superior Court on a March 13 indictment charging him with first-degree murder for Printemps’ 2014 shooting death, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm as a second offense, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm.

Skerritt is currently serving a sentence on an unrelated case out of Norfolk County. He was previously convicted of unlawful firearm possession in Suffolk Superior Court following a 2010 arrest by Boston Police.

Printemps, 22, was shot multiple times in the area of 1886 Dorchester Ave on the night of Jan. 26, 2014. He died at the scene. Boston police homicide detectives and Suffolk homicide prosecutors began an investigation that night and continued those efforts for more than a year, gathering evidence and subpoenaing witnesses to testify before the Suffolk County Grand Jury.

Additional details are expected at tomorrow’s arraignment.
