DEATH INVESTIGATION UNDER WAY IN CHELSEA

Local and State police are investigating the death of a man whose remains were found in Chelsea this morning, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

Chelsea Police responded to the area of 114 Grove St. shortly before 7:00 this morning for a report of a found body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is expected later today.

Chelsea Police notified State Police homicide detectives assigned to Conley’s office, who lead all death investigations in Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop with the assistance and cooperation of local police. Chelsea Police, State Police, and Suffolk prosecutors are aggressively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
