BOSTON, Sept. 27, 2016—The man accused in the June murder of 43-year-old Jermaine Good was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley.

ROGERS JORDAN (D.O.B. 5/7/65) of Mattapan was arraigned today in Suffolk Superior Court after a grand jury yesterday returned indictments charging him with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.  At the request of Assistant District Attorney Julie Higgins of the DA’s Homicide Unit, Clerk Magistrate Anne Kaczmarek ordered Jordan held without bail.

Boston Police located Good outside 17 Doone Avenue in Mattapan on the afternoon of June 24 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  His vehicle, which had been left idling, was located nearby.

Evidence collected over the course of a three-month investigation suggests that Good was upset that a former girlfriend was staying at Jordan’s Doone Avenue apartment when he arrived at the apartment on June 24.  Jordan and the woman were not involved in a romantic relationship. Prosecutors say Good and Jordan became involved in a confrontation in the street, during which Jordan allegedly shot Good multiple times.

Boston Police homicide detectives collected ballistic evidence and witness statements during the course of an investigation that was continued by Suffolk prosecutors in the grand jury, leading to yesterday’s indictments. Boston Police then located Jordan and placed him under arrest.
