Grand Jury Indicts Three in June Homicide

BOSTON, Sept. 29, 2017—A third suspect in the June homicide of 19-year-old Javoni Boyd was identified in the course of a Suffolk County Grand Jury investigation and apprehended today following his Wednesday indictment, District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

JEROME GREENAWAY (D.O.B. 10/7/92) was apprehended today on a warrant that issued with his Wednesday indictment for first-degree murder and related offenses in Boyd’s June 13 shooting death on Delhi Street. He will be arraigned Monday in Suffolk Superior Court.

Boyd was among a group of people in the area of 165 Delhi St. at about 7:00 pm. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the incident; the others were not struck.

Also facing arraignment Monday in connection with the incident are JAKYRES McKINNEY (D.O.B. 11/22/91) and KIJANA WALKER (D.O.B. 3/19/97), indicted Aug. 31 on charges of first-degree murder, armed assault with intent to murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Both men have been held without bail since their municipal court murder arraignments on June 26 and June 27, respectively.

Assistant District Attorney Craig Iannini led the grand jury investigation that identified Greenaway and led to the indictments.
