A Suffolk County grand jury today returned the indictment charging LENNY QUINTERO-FLORES (D.O.B. 2/17/89) with manslaughter.  He is expected to face arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court on Nov. 9.

According to prosecutors, Quintero-Flores and Harrison were seen drinking together along the Charles River near Massachusetts Avenue and the Harvard Bridge shortly after 5:00 p.m. on June 21.  Witnesses observed Quintero-Flores use his feet to allegedly push the victim, who was either asleep or unconscious, into the water.  The State Police Marine Unit responded to the area and with Boston Fire Department divers rescued Harrison from the water.  Boston Emergency Medical Services personnel transported him to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in critical condition. He died early the next morning.

Quintero-Flores was arraigned in Charlestown Municipal Court a day later.  Today’s indictment moves his case to Suffolk Superior Court, where it will be adjudicated.

Kelly Hogan is the DA’s assigned victim-witness advocate.  Quintero-Flores is represented by M. Barusch.  He is expected to arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Nov. 9.
