Inside, they found Miller unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead of those injuries a short time later. A young child present in the apartment was transported to Boston Medical Center for observation; that child was not physically injured and has since been released.

Boston Police homicide detectives made their way to the building’s second floor, where Nguyen was present. Based on evidence at the scene, witness statements, and other information developed throughout the morning, he was taken into custody and subsequently charged with Miller’s slaying.
