Boston, Dec. 20, 2012 — A Brighton man was held without bail at his arraignment on charges of murder and armed robbery in the November shooting death of Leroy Cooper, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said today.

ROBERT WILLIAMS (D.O.B. 5/10/91) was arraigned today in Brighton District Court. Judge David T. Donnelly ordered Williams held without bail, per the request of Assistant District Attorney Julie Higgins.

According to prosecutors, Cooper suffered a fatal gunshot wound at about at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 19. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, PATRICK MALONE (D.O.B. 6/28/91), has been held without bail since his Dec. 3 arraignment on identical charges in Cooper’s death.

Williams is represented by Liam Scully and will return to court on Feb. 4. Malone is represented by Earl Howard and is expected back in court on Jan. 4.
