BOSTON, October 11, 2017— The Dorchester man charged in the murders of Scott M. Stevens, Jr., and Michaela Gingras was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

LANCE HOLLOMAN (D.O.B. 1/12/87) of Dorchester was arraigned today in Dorchester Municipal Court on two counts each of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm and a single count armed assault with intent to murder.  At the request of Assistant District Attorney Masai King, Judge James Coffey ordered Holloman held without bail.  Holloman has remained held since his arrest Sept. 11 on warrants in three unrelated cases.

King told the court that 32-year-old Stevens of East Taunton and a 54-year-old relative were each operating a motorcycle on 93 South on the evening of Sept. 10 when a red Jeep Renegade cut across all four travel lanes and pulled up alongside the two men.  A man later identified as Holloman pointed a firearm out the driver’s side window and fired three shots at the victims.  Stevens was struck in the head and veered into a jersey barrier, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle.  He died at Boston Medical Center as a result of the gunshot wound.

The second victim suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

Boston Police and State Police jointly investigating the murder located the Jeep, which had been rented by an individual known to Holloman, on St. Marks Road.  Surveillance camera footage recovered by investigators captured Holloman and Gingras walking from the Jeep following Stevens’ shooting, prosecutors said.

Police responded to a nearby home on Santuit Street at approximately 10:20 p.m. for a report of shots fired.  There, they found 24-year-old Gingras of Manchester, New Hampshire, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

Holloman was stopped hours later by Franklin Police while operating a motor vehicle registered to a relative.  He was arrested on outstanding warrants.
