October Date Set For Quadruple Homicide Retrial

A Suffolk Superior Court judge today scheduled an October retrial for the Mattapan man accused of a 2010 multiple shooting on Woolson Street, killing four – including a toddler – and leaving a fifth paralyzed from the shoulders down, District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

Judge Jeffrey Locke scheduled empanelment in the retrial of DWAYNE MOORE (D.O.B. 6/25/77) for October 11.  Moore faces four counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Eyanna Flonory, 21; her 2-year-old son, Amanihotep Smith; Simba Martin, 21; and Levaughn Washum-Garrison, 22. All four were killed in the early morning hours of Sept. 28, 2010.

Moore is also charged with single counts of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder for allegedly shooting another man during the same incident.  That man, then 32, survived his injuries. Moore faces additional charges of armed home invasion, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Assistant District Attorney Edmond Zabin, chief of the DA’s Homicide Unit, and Assistant District Attorney Teresa Anderson of Conley’s Appellate Division are trying the case. Kara Hayes and Michael Schultz are the DA’s assigned victim-witness advocates. Moore is represented by attorney John Amabile. The case will return to court on April 10.
