BOSTON, March 28, 2013—The man charged in two similar rapes near the Roxbury and Jamaica Plain border has been indicted for three more violent attacks on women, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley announced.

The indictments, returned yesterday, charge TIKEE BEVERLY (D.O.B. 1/15/76) of Roxbury with a total of 13 offenses linked to five known assaults between September 2012 and February 2013. Specifically, the indictments charge Beverly with four counts each of rape and aggravated rape, two counts each of robbery and kidnapping, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon.

“The evidence and testimony assembled over the past eight weeks suggests a violent and very dangerous serial predator at work in the area,” Conley said. “These were five cases of chilling sexual violence linked by Suffolk prosecutors and Boston police.”

Beverly is expected to be arraigned April 2 in Suffolk Superior Court for the following attacks:

1. Sept. 13, 2012, on Shirley Street in Dorchester;
2. Dec. 27, 2012, on Kenilworth Street in Roxbury;
3. Jan. 11, 2013, on Arcadia Park in Dorchester;
4. Feb. 2, 2013, on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain; and
5. Feb. 3, 2013, on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain.

Beverly was arraigned Feb. 5 on the latter two attacks after Boston Police aware of a similar description of the assailant in those two incidents spotted him on Notre Dame Street, interviewed him, and placed him under arrest. He is currently held on $60,000 cash bail; prosecutors had sought $200,000.

Suffolk prosecutors and Boston Police detectives linked Beverly to the earlier attacks after undertaking a review of reported sexual assaults with unknown assailants. That review is still ongoing, however, and the investigation remains open.

“Anyone victimized by crimes of sexual violence should know that we’re here to help and support them,” Conley said.

While the victims of any crime are urged to call 911 in an emergency, the survivors of sexual violence in Suffolk County can also call the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s 24-hour hotline at 800-841-8371. The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center provides medical advocacy, legal services, counseling, and other services to victims of sexual assault.

Assistant District Attorney Patrick Devlin of the DA’s Sexual Assault Unit led the grand jury investigation resulting in this week’s indictments. Anne Kelley-McCarthy is the DA’s assigned victim-witness advocate. Beverly is represented by attorney Carleton Williams.
