Revere Beach Death Under Investigation

State Police assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office are investigating the discovery of a dead body on Revere Beach Boulevard this morning.

The remains are those of an Asian male believed to be in his early 20s. Investigators have made a tentative identification but are waiting to confirm it and notify the man’s next of kin before releasing it.

There were no signs of blood or obvious foul play at the scene. The body was transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy that will likely be conducted tomorrow given the effect of the cold on the remains.

A passerby reported seeing the body behind the South Bath House at about 8:30 this morning. Uniformed troopers assigned to the Revere Barracks responded to the scene and notified the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit, which has jurisdiction over all death investigations in Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. Members of the State Police Crime Scene Services Section also responded.
