Revere Man Dies in Chelsea Collision

State Police detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office and Chelsea Police detectives are investigating a collision last night on Blossom Street that left a Revere man dead.

The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Julio Vaquerano. Preliminary evidence developed by investigators suggests that Vaquerano was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Blossom and Maple streets shortly after 10:00 p.m. He died of his injuries a short time later.

State Police assigned to the Suffolk DA’s office investigate all fatalities in Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. They are assisted in this case by Chelsea Police uniformed officers and Criminal Investigation Division detectives. The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section is also lending its expertise, as is the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.

Chelsea Police responded to a 911 call for a person struck by a motor vehicle at 10:09 last night. On arrival, they found the victim suffering from major trauma that included a head injury. Paramedics arrived moments later to transport him from the scene. Vaquerano was pronounced dead on arrival at Massachusetts General Hospital.
