State Police detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office together with Chelsea Police Department detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of a fatal shooting in Chelsea yesterday.

At about noon yesterday, State Police detectives responded to 230 Central Ave. after receiving a 911 call indicating that there had been a shooting. Responding officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. That victim has been identified as 29-year-old Luis Raul Rodriguez.

The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and very active.
