STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATHS IN CHELSEA, REVERE

State Police homicide detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office are investigating deaths this morning in Chelsea and Revere.

Members of the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit and Chelsea Police detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a 16-year-old male at a residence on Grove Street shortly before 1:30 this morning. That teen was rushed to Whidden Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. His identity is not being released at this time.

The investigation into the fatal stabbing is active and ongoing. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Chelsea Police detectives at 617-466-4826.

The Suffolk SPDU is also investigating the unattended death of an unidentified adult male whose remains were found in a marsh near Route 107 at about 11:20 this morning. The cause and manner of that man’s death has not yet been determined. The incident did not immediately appear suspicious but remains the subject of an inquiry by State and Revere police.

State Police assigned to the Suffolk DA’s office have jurisdiction over all unattended deaths in the cities and towns of Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop, as well as state property within the City of Boston. Specialized State Police units are assisting in both of today’s investigations.
