State Police Probing Death on Boston-Bound Bus

State Police detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office are investigating the death of an Arizona man on board a bus that arrived in Boston last night.
Members of the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit responded to the South Station bus terminal at about 9:00 p.m. after the 29-year-old Scottsdale resident’s remains were discovered in the restroom of a Boston Express bus from Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Based on evidence developed through the night, investigators believe the man entered the restroom alone early in the trip. The restroom door remained closed until transit personnel forced it open upon arrival in Boston and found him unresponsive inside. Emergency medical technicians pronounced him dead at the scene.

The man’s death does not appear to be a homicide and the evidence at this point does not suggest foul play. Nonetheless, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death. The man’s identity will not be released in the absence of criminal charges.
