STATE, REVERE POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL SHOOTING

State Police homicide detectives assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office and Revere Police are investigating a fatal shooting on Reservoir Avenue last night.

State Police detectives responded to the scene at about 7:30 p.m. for a shooting in the area of 308 Reservoir Ave. One man, identified as 26-year-old Kareem Spurill of Jamaica Plain, was transported to Whidden Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries.

State Police assigned to the Suffolk DA’s office investigate all homicides in Revere, Chelsea, and Winthrop. They are assisted by Revere Police detectives and uniformed officers, as well as specialized State Police units. As with all such investigations, a senior prosecutor from the DA’s Homicide Unit has also been assigned.
