CHELSEA, Sept. 7, 2017—Chelsea Police detectives and State troopers assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office have charged a Revere man in connection with this morning’s fatal stabbing on Broadway and are seeking a Good Samaritan who stopped to help in its aftermath, Police Chief Brian Kyes and District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

NABEEB GONZALEZ (D.O.B. 10/17/79) is expected to appear today in Chelsea District Court on a manslaughter charge stemming from the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old Everett man in the area of Broadway and Stockton Street shortly before 3:10 this morning. This man’s identity is being withheld until his family can be located. A 34-year-old Chelsea man was also found injured at the scene and is expected to survive.

Kyes and Conley said that investigators hope to speak with a Good Samaritan who stopped to assist injured parties in the immediate aftermath of the fatal encounter. They stressed that this person is sought only as a witness and is not accused of any wrongdoing. The Samaritan is described as a male, possibly middle aged and Latino, with salt-and-pepper hair. He was driving an older white vehicle, possibly a white Honda Accord.
