THREE IN CUSTODY FOR 2004 TRIPLE HOMICIDE

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley and Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis today announced the arrests of three men in connection with the fatal shootings of three men on Floyd Street in 2004.

Taken into custody today on warrants charging them with the murders of Angelo Henderson, 19; Jaison Jenkins, 24; and Anthony Williams, 24, were:

1. JEMALD ALLEN (D.O.B. 8/5/78) of Roxbury;

2. his nephew, RODERICK ALLEN (D.O.B. 2/14/85) of Mattapan; and

3. ANTWOIN FIELDS (D.O.B. 9/7/79) of Dorchester.

“These arrests are the fruit of more than five years of investigation, particularly in the Suffolk County Grand Jury,” Conley said. “We’re limited in what we can say prior to Tuesday’s arraignment, but the investigation has been exhaustive thus far and will continue in the weeks to come. In a case like this, when three lives are taken in cold blood, Boston Police and Suffolk prosecutors won’t rest while there’s work to be done.”

“I want to applaud the dogged effort put forth over the years by homicide detectives and the Suffolk County prosecutors to secure justice for these three victims and their loved ones,” Davis said. “I hope today’s development brings some small sense of peace to the family and friends of the victims.”

Henderson, Jenkins, and Williams were shot to death on the night of Sept. 4, 2004. Jenkins and Williams were seated in a vehicle on Floyd Street and Henderson was standing nearby. Prosecutors allege that Allen, Allen, and Fields approached them and fired multiple shots.

Jenkins and Williams suffered gunshot wounds and died in the vehicle. Henderson was struck, ran a short distance, and collapsed on nearby Callender Street. All three died of their injuries.

The defendants will be arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court.
