A trio of men, none from Boston, were arraigned today for allegedly smashing the side mirrors of 12 parked cars as they walked through residential Brighton on Sunday morning, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

SERGEY VUYTIK (D.O.B. 2/26/85) of Melrose, VLADIMIR RASHKOVETSKY (D.O.B. 9/27/88) of Acton, and KONSTANTIN KRYSA (D.O.B. 4/24/87) of Watertown were each charged with 12 counts of malicious destruction of property over $250. The three men were released on personal recognizance after being ordered to stay away from the area of Chestnut Hill Avenue and Chiswick Road.

“There’s no excuse for this behavior,” Conley said. “Absolutely none.”

Assistant District Attorney John Seed told the court that, at about 4:15 Sunday morning, a witness called 911 to report vandalism in the area of Chestnut Hill Avenue and Chiswick Road.

Boston Police officers responding to the scene spoke to the witness, who told them that he was in his nearby apartment when he heard a loud noise outside. Looking out the window, he saw three men standing near his 2001 Ford Windstar. Seed told the court that the men were observed “kicking and smacking” the passenger side rear view mirrors of four vehicles on Chestnut Hill Avenue.

In addition to the four vehicles and the witness’s van, the men also allegedly smashed the passenger side rear view mirrors of seven more vehicles parked on Chiswick Road.

After officers stopped the men in front of the fire station in Brighton Center, one of them observed that Rashkovetsky had a chip of blue paint stuck on his right wrist. The paint chip was seized as evidence and the three men were arrested. The witness positively identified the three suspects on the scene.

Vuytik is represented by attorney William Concannon, Rashkovetsky by attorney Patrick Sheehan, and Krysa by attorney Elise Hoffman. All three are expected to return to Brighton District Court on Jan. 22.
