BOSTON, May 13, 2013—Chelsea Police detectives and State Police homicide detectives assigned to the Suffolk District Attorney’s office are investigating the suspicious deaths of two people in Chelsea early this morning, Chief Brian Kyes and District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said today.

After a 911 call just before 4:00 this morning, Chelsea Police, Chelsea Fire, and emergency medical technicians responded to Crescent Avenue to find an adult male and an adult female deceased inside a blue Ford LTD.

Chelsea Police at this point notified the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit, which has jurisdiction over death investigations in Chelsea, Revere, Winthrop, and parts of Boston, and which is working with the Chelsea PD Criminal Investigative Division. Also responding were various specialized State Police units, including the Crime Scene Services Section.

Investigators have tentatively identified both of the deceased but are not releasing their names until they can be confirmed and their families can be notified. Investigators believe the deaths to be suspicious although cause and manner of death will be formally determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
