TWO HELD AS FUGITIVES FROM MAINE DRUG CHARGES

A Fenway man and his Revere father were arraigned today as fugitives from justice in connection with drug-related charges pending against them in Maine, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

State Police narcotics detectives assigned to Conley’s office arrested PAUL BRADLEY, Jr. (D.O.B. 1/11/84), on Ipswich Street after watching him approach and then leave his Brookline Avenue home shortly before 7:30 this morning.

About half an hour later, members of the Revere Police Department Drug Control Unit and additional State Police detectives from Conley’s office arrested PAUL BRADLEY, Sr. (D.O.B. 8/19/51), in the area of Revere and Sagamore streets after watching him depart from his Archer Road residence.

Arraigning Bradley, Jr., in Roxbury District Court this morning, Assistant District Attorney Andrius Knasas recommended that the younger man be held without bail in light of the charges pending against him in Maine. Judge Kenneth Fiandaca ordered him held on $10,000.

Assistant District Attorney Amy Martin Zacharias arraigned Bradley, Sr., in Chelsea District Court this afternoon and also recommended that he be held without bail. Judge James Wexler ordered him held on $50,000 bail.

Both men were detained after Maine State Police obtained warrants for their arrests in connection with an alleged marijuana enterprise. Each is charged in that jurisdiction with unlawfully trafficking in a scheduled drug and cultivating marijuana; Bradley, Jr., is additionally charged with violating a condition of release. Maine authorities have indicated that they are prepared to take custody of both men within the next 48 hours.

Bradley, Jr., was represented today by attorney Amanda Sheehan. Bradley, Sr., was represented by attorney Steve Scali.
