Witnesses Sought in Revere Collision That Left Two Injured

State Police detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office and Revere Police are investigating a collision in Revere Sunday night that left two people injured, and they are asking witnesses to the incident to come forward.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 11:55 p.m. The preliminary investigation suggests that a white Chevrolet van travelling westbound and a gray Toyota Camry travelling northbound collided in the intersection of American Legion Highway and Revere Street.

The driver of the van, a 42-year-old Revere resident, was seriously injured and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital; his passenger, a 39-year-old Revere man, was also hospitalized but with less serious injuries. The driver of the Camry, a 30-year-old female, and her male passenger suffered injuries that were not deemed life-threatening. No one has been charged at this time.

Investigators are asking anyone – pedestrian or motorist – who was in the area of the collision to come forward and assist in the investigation. Specifically, detectives hope to speak with the driver of a black Ford Explorer that was seen in the vicinity of the crash. Authorities stressed that they are only looking for information that could be helpful in the probe.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit at 617-727-8817 or Revere Police at 781-656-1116.
