Woman Held in Apparent Domestic Violence Slaying

BOSTON, Dec. 8, 2015—A Dorchester woman was held without bail today at her arraignment for allegedly stabbing her live-in boyfriend to death early this morning, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.

VALERIE CIRILO-PEREZ (D.O.B. 11/18/90) was arraigned on a single count of murder for the fatal stabbing of 28-year-old Anthony Sinclair in their Nightingale Street residence.

Boston Police responded to the scene at about 12:30 this morning after Cirilo-Perez called 911 to report a fatal stabbing. They found Sinclair badly injured. He was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

Cirilo-Perez suffered no visible injuries and declined medical assistance. She was charged in light of admissions she allegedly made to Boston Police about the incident, homicide detectives’ observations of the crime scene, and other evidence.
